PMAN RIVERS STATE COMMENDS DRAY IMOLE (AHOADA BOY) FOR OFFSETTING SCHOOL FEES FOR 75 STUDENTS
The Sole Administrator of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria - PMAN, Rivers State Chapter, Tamunotonye Gbenga O. Wariboko has commended a Rivers based music artiste, Silver Dray Opuwari for his selfless humanitarian services to students and pupils of some schools in the state.
Silver Dray Opuwari who goes by the stage name Dray Imole (Ahoada Boy), had recently visited some nursery, primary and secondary schools in Ahoada West and graciously paid school fees for 75 students and pupils.
The schools he visited included:
County High School; Government Technical College, Ahoada;
UBE Ahoada; and Government Nursery and Primary School, all in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The Sole Administrator of PMAN in Rivers State, Mr Wariboko who goes by the stage name, the Lamaya King, said the gesture by Dray Imole (Ahoada Boy) was timely due to the present economic realities faced by majority of families in Nigeria.
He said the move will go a long way to ease the financial burden of parents in the area and will serve as a moral booster for the students and pupils in their academic pursuit.
The Lamaya King said being a celebrity was about affecting the lives of people in the society positively, and that Dray Imole as a worthy ambassador in the entertainment industry in Rivers State, has demonstrated that through his benevolent act.
Tamunotonye Gbenga O. Wariboko therefore urged other musicians and entertainers in the state to take a queue from Dray Imole and always try to reach out to fans and people of the society positively.
He also used the medium to call on all entertainers and stakeholders in the state to join forces with his administration to build a thriving entertainment industry that can compete favourably with other climes.
