Gov. Wike orders registration of all businesses in Rivers State

The Rivers State Government has ordered that all businesses should be registered on the E- Registration platform in the state.

The State Commissioner for Information and Communications, PAULIUS NSIRIM gave the directive during a meeting with the Ease of Doing Business Council headed by the State Deputy Governor, IPALIBO HARRY-BANIGO at the Government House in Port Harcourt.


NSIRIM said Governor NYESOM WIKE gave the directive and the mandate to the council, which was supposed to take effect from the 11th of February, 2020.

The Information and Communication Commissioner said the purpose of the E- Registration Platform for all businesses in the state is to ensure that all businesses in Rivers State are in one data base, adding that a help desk has been created for the purpose.


Our correspondent reports that an investment Promotion committee was set up, headed by the Commissioner for Information and Communications PAULINUS NSIRIM, other members of the committee include the State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, IFEYINWA NWANKPA, EZU CHIBUDHOM, Chairman House Committee on Commerce and Industry, Rivers State House of Assembly and DOZIE ABAJUE, President Nigerian Entrepreneur and Investment Forum.
