Technical Manager of Rivers United Stanley Eguma says his team will be ‘very cautious’ when they take on Al Merreikh in the second leg, first round tie of the 2017 CAF Champions League.

‘The Pride of Rivers’ on Sunday thrashed the Sudanese outfit 3-0 in Port Harcourt and are now in pole position to make it to the lucrative group phase of Africa’s elite club championship.

Ahead of the reverse fixture in Omdurman this weekend, Eguma has admitted that the job is not yet done.

While Rivers United have being impressive in the CAF Champions League, scoring 7 goals from three matches, in the Nigeria Professional Football League, it has been a different case.

The Port Harcourt-side lie 14th on the NPFL standings with 14 points from 10 matches, scoring just 7 goals in the process and Eguma says his team is not paying too much attention to the Champions League.
