The APC was reacting to allegation by Governor WIKE against operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad over the kidnapping and robbery incidents in the state.

Speaking to newsmen at the Party secretariat in Port Harcourt, the APC State Publicity Secretary, CHRIS FINEBONE said it was not true that APC benefited or is still benefiting from any misconduct of any security agency in the state.

FINEBONE described the Governors allegations as diversionary and urged members of the public especially the security operatives to be vigilant.

The APC Publicity Secretary claimed raising such allegations was one of Governor WIKE's strategies of launching his next action with reference to incidents in Ogba Egbema Ndoni Local government area of Rivers State as well as in Ogoni.

Similarly; a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers, LAWERENCE CHUKWU has faulted Governor WIKE's allegation against the Rivers State command of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

CHUKWU said the SARS official who the Governor referred to in his allegation was a diligent officer who hails from Ogoni and was shot by armed robbers.

He wondered why Governors WIKE has refused to make a statement about the recent killing of a police officer in Oyigbo by some IPOB members two days after the incident but instead according to him has chosen to play politics with every security issues.
